Welcome!

Our goal is to be the best version of Cave City that we can be, and everything we do is focused on that. Be sure to check back here often for updates and resources.

WELCOME TO CAVE CITY, ARKANSAS GRAVELER BIKE TOUR!

We are incredibly excited to be a featured stop on the inaugural Arkansas Graveler bike tour across Arkansas!

Thursday, June 27th, we plan to host hundreds of cyclists and support crew in our city park. They will spend the night with us, and depart Friday morning for the finish line in Jonesboro.

As part of this, please be aware of the following:

- Beginning Thursday morning, the city park will have portions sectioned and barricaded off from public entry and use. We need to keep traffic to a minimum while our guests are here.

- The city pool will be closed to the public during the day, as our guests make use of it.

- Beginning Wednesday, the park fishing pond will be closed as we await our guests and their planned activity there.

This is a huge opportunity for our community to welcome guests from around the country and other parts of the world. They should begin entering Cave City on Thursday any time after noon. They expect to enter via West Center St., make the turn at Christian St., and on over to the park. It would be great to line that route with some signs and smiling faces! 😃

We have several from the area participating, including our own Bobby Finster, Jerrod Sandefur, Danny Storlie, and The City of Batesville’s Parks Director Jeff Owens and Mayor Rick Elumbaugh.

Thanks for your help as we prepare to roll out a true Cave City welcome to this group!

WE HAVE MOVED!

Beginning Monday, May 20, 2024, you can find your City Hall team at the new renovated space on Main St., directly across from the Bank of Cave City. Our address is 201 South Main St. The new space houses offices for finance, mayor, water/sewer, streets, parks, and the weekly revenue office. You can enter the building from the front, along Main Street, or from the back, just off of Union St.

DRIVE THROUGH: You’ll enter the drive through lane from Main Street, and exit out the back, going east down the ramp and toward and along Union St. Remember that Union St. is one way, going east to Dormitory and Blackstone. For now, the only lane we will have in use is the drop box lane. Pull up to the black drop box, deposit your envelope, and exit. There is no speaker or drawer to interact with our team in this lane. (That will be coming soon, though!)

REAR PARKING AND ENTRY: We will be striping the parking lot soon, but you can turn into Union St. from Main St. (between us and Gina Walling Tax Service) and park in the lot lining up east-west. Walk up the new ramp on the back of the building and enter through the left door with the glass. The revenue office and water department are located in this main corridor for your convenience.

This is new for us all, but what a terrific upgrade! Please call us at 870-283-5455 if you have any questions or need help with the new arrangements before you arrive. New exterior signage should arrive soon to make things even easier.
