We have established a Local Relief Fund at the Bank of Cave City, administered through the Cave City Area Chamber of Commerce. This fund is getting financial assistance directly into the hands of those most affected in our city, so they can get back on their feet and on the road to recovery as quickly as possible. Rebuilding Cave City
The rebuilding and redevelopment phase of our tornado recovery may be the most important part of this entire process. it will determine the future of Cave City, in numerous ways, for many years to come and it is important that we proceed carefully and thoughtfully, for the betterment of everyone who call this place home.
Before you Build: The Cave City Planning Commission and City Council have an adopted zoning map and zoning code for the corporate limits of Cave City, Please visit the Planning Commission page on this site to view those documents before beginning work on properties in Cave City. https://www.cavecity.us/planning-commission In 2020 the City Council also adopted the the Arkansas Fire Prevention Code, to include Volume I: Fire, Volume 2: Building, Volume 3: Residential. Contractors are expected to abide by the codes and requirements contained therein.
Residents: Please be sure you work with a reputable contractor that is properly licensed and well-known in the state of Arkansas. If you have questions about a contractor, contact the Arkansas Contractor Licensing Board.
Questions: Please be sure to contact City Hall and set up a time to speak or meet with the mayor to address any questions you may have about properties, land use, zoning, or anything else involved in the rebuilding process so it can be as quick as possible.
